Over 40 women from Malo Island have undergone cervical cancer screening as part of a health initiative held at Avunatari Health Centre. The screening, which is aimed at early detection and prevention of cervical cancer, targeted women between the ages of 30 and 54.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Health to promote regular health checks and raise awareness about the importance of early screening for cancer. Women attending the screening were provided with essential health information and guidance on the next steps for treatment and follow-up care if necessary.
