The decline of Yahoo occurred pretty much everywhere around the world, with one notable exception. In Japan, Yahoo has maintained its title as the country’s most visited website. So, how did they manage to do this in Japan?

Important note: Stats from years ago all put Yahoo Japan as the most visited website in the country, but many newer ones give this title to Google. There is no universally agreed upon “most-visited website,” but if I am being completely honest, Google is most likely Japan’s most used website and their lead will most likely only solidify in the future. Yahoo Japan is still popular, but its losing ground to Google.
