On Monday, 21st of September 2020, The Nigerian Young Farmers Network warmly acknowledged the invitation of the Honorable Minister of Science & Technology— Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.
The honorable minister expressed his full support and that of the federal ministry in ensuring that the network is provided with all that is necessary to foster the development of the members.
In his address, the minister commended the efforts of the network in involving the youths in the development of agriculture in Nigeria and thoroughly explained the relevance of Science & Technology in the development of agriculture in Nigeria; “At least 90% of any aspect of agriculture is dependent on Science and technology.” He said “It is the role of the the ministry to see that agriculture is recognized as a business in Nigeria.
As part of expressing our appreciation for the invitation by the Honorable Minister, the NYFN presented the minister with a Certificate of Patronship recognizing Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu as a patron Denoting Commitment to the growth and development of agriculture accompanied with a certificate of appointment as a member of the Board Of Agriculture Advisory Council of the NYFN.
The minister expressed his gratitude with a warm reception and expressed his full support and that of the ministry in the growth and sustainability of the Network.
We are humbled to have graced the invitation from the Federal Minister Of Science & Technology and very appreciative of the now pledged support to the Nigerian Young Farmers Network.
