In an interview, he emphasized the significance of the summit as it is happening post the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea to host a global investment summit was first proposed by Y.S. Jagan Mohan after he assumed office in 2019, and the initial plan was to hold it in 2020. However, due to the pandemic, it got postponed, and even in 2021 and 2022, the pandemic disrupted the possibility of holding the summit, with the third wave impacting the region in January and February 2022.
