The Oxford Internet Institute is excited to have Kathryn Eccles and Jamie Cameron give the second OxCrowd talk of the term 'From Tags to Tools: Using crowdsourcing to understand and encourage engagement with cultural heritage'.
Abstract
This talk will show how a research project to understand the motivation and behaviour of volunteer art ‘taggers’ led to the creation of a new teaching resource encouraging students to engage with objects and images in cultural heritage collections, and a series of innovative and interactive public engagement events.
