So what does a office glass doors cost?
Frameless glass door or a framed glass door cost depends on many aspects. Mainly on hardware and the size.
If the opening for your new glass door is higher that 2.7 m then 12 mm glass pane must be installed, That means more weight, and if the entrance door is heavier that also mean you need more hinges on the pane to hold it safely in place, and to operate correctly.
Most common sizes in industrial offices design will vary between 2000 and 2400 mm high and 800 to 950 mm wide.
This clearance size allowing us to use 10 mm thick Toughened Glass and to hang the door on 2no hydraulic hinges on to the frame. The cost of this solution will vary anywhere between £650 to £800 for glass door only.
For anything higher than 2700mm, 12mm Tempered Glass is required, and in some cases as much as 4 hinges are needed.
However, if it's a frameless glass door, all you need is a top patch fitting/hinge, and bottom hydraulic hinge.
For offices and meeting rooms self-closing hinges are recommended as it will take care of subtle closing.
You can also notice this sort of hinges in retail space for example shop entrances, or in any kind of government related locations like schools access doors e.t.c.

Frameless doors are perfect addition to either your office work space or living space. Their made of the same 10 mm thick tempered glass pane as any other glass partition wall or glass screen, but has no frame.
So, how does it work with no frame?
The hinges are located at the top and bottom of your door leaf.
The top patch fitting/hinge has a pivot point unit which is either attached to top frame of your screen.
Or, in case of door with overhead panel, the pivot point unit is attached to patch fitting which connect it to the glass side panel and holding it in place.
Bottom patch fitting/hinge has it’s pivot point unit installed on the floor with 4 bolts which holding it in place. 4 bolts are used for security of your door, this fixing allowing the door to be operated for many years without losing sleep over it.
