Outdoor kitchen steel frame kits are simple and easy. Designed for contractors but simple enough to DIY. Grill frame modules are specific to your drop in grill head or side burner model. Additional modules for kamado and egg style grills, cabinets, sinks, refrigerators, doors and drawers are purchased separately and bolted together. [ Ссылка ]
Unrivaled precision is achieved through CAD engineering and integrated manufacturing. Cutouts are accurate and square; grill heads drop in securely, and door/drawer inserts mount flush, square and rigid.
If you’re a contractor then you already know the grief and aggravation that can come with framing up a BBQ island. Rework erodes profits and potentially your reputation. Meeting homeowner demands for fit-and-finish in a luxury item market can be……challenging. Maybe we can help. [ Ссылка ]
If you’re a homeowner, you have a say in the matter! Ask your contractor to look into this option. What looks beautiful the first summer can become a “thing in the backyard” in no time.
Traditional wood framing carries with it the risk of rot or dry-rot, not to mention issues with heat damage or combustion. The additional insulating liner that would be required will often cost as much or even more than our entire grill frame module. So, for a host of reasons, wood construction should be your choice of last resort.
For the vast majority of outdoor kitchen projects, galvanized steel framing (and occasionally aluminum) is the standard. Typically, your contractor will buy the stock beams from his local building supply warehouse, and build on site to your general plans. Building on the fly, to some degree is almost inevitable.
Using typical chop-saw and tin-snip construction methods, it is extremely difficult to fabricate a steel frame that fits along every dimension simultaneously. Skilled framers will give-and-take to balance the individual imperfections for the best final product. This “white-hat-sin- hiding” is a good thing.
But then there is the other kind of sin hiding. Because it’s known that the frame will be hidden, “cosmetic” gaps and misalignments may be judged un-important. More often than not, “cosmetic” problems turn out to be the chink in the armor that leads to premature failure.
For those of you that have never had the experience, it is almost impossible for even the most skilled craftsman to make a steel stud frame so that it remains rigid and does not rack. Most framers are relying on the exterior skin to provide that rigidity…..they do this because until now, there has been no practical alternative.
Clip-N-Zip dimples are the answer. Rather than a screw securing two members that have already been positioned into their final alignment, Clip-N-Zip dimples use the screw itself to draw the members into final alignment. That alignment was precisely determined in the CAD program, and each component is “printed” with tolerances to a fraction of a millimeter.
Because the tolerance is so precise, when panels are assembled, they are inherently self-squaring. These inherently square panels are assembled to form cube-like modules with all the cutouts exactly where they need to be. Each module is rigid and does not rack. When bolted together to form the island, a single rigid unit is formed. The strength and trueness of our frames does not rely on a sheet of cladding to lock things in place or “square-it-up a bit”.
With a sturdy chassis in place, finish craftsman can display their skill on a blank canvas. Because Clip-N-Zip dimples countersink screw heads, Permabase mounts flush. Because our frames are near-perfectly square, edges seam-up nicely. Stucco, when chosen, can be applied by the end of day 1, dried overnight, and the entire project completed in two days. If thick heavy concrete countertops are part of your plans, these cabinets will work perfectly; load-bearing strength is not an issue.
Our K-34 frame fits most kamado and egg-style grills (Big Green Egg, Primo, etc). We designed the K-34 to have an adjustable shelf. This allows various grill models to maintain grill surface even with the countertop (or at any desired relative position).
Made in Blackhawk, South Dakota USA.
No other grill frame manufacturer offers our precision, quality and value.
