Another train (M514) went by while my friend and I were eating pizza in my car. A Heart of Georgia (HoG) GP38-2 came up and parked near the viewing platform while M514 was going by.
After we finished our pizza, Norfolk Southern manifest 154 came north. My friend really liked their black paint scheme, so that’s cool. I promised to take her to Austell next time she comes up to visit.
I don’t know what it is with BNSF, but they REALLY have it out for the old Santa Fe equipment. Burlington Northern cars are still somewhat common everywhere, but the Santa Fe ones are extremely rare, especially out here in the east. This one car was incredible to see.
