Fly fishing Rutland Water is always challenging but the first week of the 2022 season has been especially challenging for bank anglers. The fish do come on but very sporadically and you have to be in the right place at the right time.

I decided to take to the boat to see if I could avoid being out for a duck. I certainly didn't expect what happened that day!
