OneTouch® UltraMini® Meter comes with the time, date and unit of measure pre-set. Before using meter for the first time or if you change the meter battery, you should check and update the time and date.

The monitor only allows few changes in settings. Date & time is one of the settings that can be changed anytime. The unit of measurement can not be changed by users. It is not a parameter that can be change. The manufacturer pre-programs the devices specific to the region/country. The US manual has the following warning : Confirm that the unit of measure mg/dL is displayed. If your display shows mmol/L rather than mg/dL, stop using the meter and contact Customer Service.
