After working with some car collectors and seeing them all run the CTEK trickle charger to maintain the health of their car batteries due to minimal use, I simply had to get one.

Brett down at Peninsula Auto Spares hooked me up with this little beauty which wasn't on my radar but will certainly outlast the smaller versions.

As this vehicle is driven maybe once a week if that, a trickle charger is a must have. This battery was fitted just under a month ago and the charger is showing 3/4 charge.

Being an automatic trickle charger it doesn't need to be disconnected after a certain time frame as it will constantly review the battery charge level and top up as required.

Also it will not over charge the battery or cause a fire. Another great feature is the auto temperature sensing. If the surrounding area is heating up the charger will adjust to suit to ensure it doesn't overheat.

All in all a fantastic investment for anyone who has a vehicle that isn't driven daily to ensure that when you need to get in, turn the key, it will start first go.
