As G20 Summit in India for the year 2023 begins, the global leaders reach Delhi to attend the Summit, but Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to skip the event. China is being represented by another leader from the country however no reasons for Chinese President’s absence have been stated yet. The relations between India and China have been strange as Ladakh boarder issues continue and the recent controversy of a faux map released in China. Head of ISDP SCSA-IPA Jagannath Panda says, 'XiJinping skipping G20 India 2023 is showing India as an alternate power hub in Indo-pacific reason. It's a strategic mistake'.
