মাগুরার নদীতে কমছে মাছের উৎপাদন। স্থানীয়রা জানান, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে নানাভাবে দূষণ ও অপব্যবহারের কারণে নষ্ট হচ্ছে নদীর পানি। পুরনো এ সমস্যার সঙ্গে এ বছর যোগ হয়েছে অনাবৃষ্টি। নদীতে মাছ না পেয়ে জেলেরা পরিবর্তন করছেন তাদের পেশা।
