Most issues of the German newsreel were devoted to propagandistic reporting on the military actions of the German troops. A separate camera crew was assembled for each campaign (some died at the front during filming). The announcer was Harry Giese, who had previously read the Tobis newsreel story; In 1943–1944 he was temporarily replaced by Walter Tappe. Editor-in-chief was Heinrich Rellenberg, and after he fell out of favor with Goebbels, Fritz Dettmann. The composer Franz R. Friedl was accepted as music editor. His personal cameraman, Walter Frentz, was responsible for filming Hitler. Until November 1943, the German newsreel was produced in the main administration building of the UFA film studio in the center of Berlin. After the building was badly damaged by the bombing, production moved to the basement of the neighboring building. At the beginning of June 1944, production was moved outside Berlin to the village of Buchhorst. Since December 1944 (from No. 746) the newsreel appeared every two weeks, the last issue appeared on March 22, 1945 (No. 755). Documentation about the time of the Second World War.
