The IFS Green Budget 2023, in association with Citi and with funding from the Nuffield Foundation, will assess the state of the UK economy and the government's fiscal position as inflation comes down from its peak and attention turns towards next year's general election. The headline findings from chapters covering the macroeconomy and risks to the public finances will be presented at this event.
A Green Budget chapter on the implications of the NHS workforce plan has already been published, and can be found here. Further chapters covering inheritance tax, skills and training policy, corporation tax, how Chancellors respond to economic news, and public sector net worth will be published in the weeks leading up to the main launch, and drawn upon at this event.
