The An-2 biplane is one of the best plane ever designed by the Soviet military, because it is virtually impossible to make it stall and crash.
To understand how the An-2 does this, one must first understand a few key terms. The angle of attack is the angular difference when taking the edge of a plane's wing compared to the artificial horizon of the air it is flying through. The angle of attack helps to generate lift by directing airflow up and over the wing through a pressure differential.
A stall happens when a pilot increases the aircraft's trajectory so that the force of the wind cannot overcome the angle of attack, and no lift is generated. The An-2 has an enormous, horizontal tail that will physically prevent the aircraft from suffering a stall by making it impossible to decrease the effectiveness of the angle of attack to zero.
If a pilot were to try and stall the aircraft, the plane would reduce to its slowest speed, about 20-30 miles per hour, and gently glide towards the ground.
