Heavenly Father, as the sun rises and a new day begins, I lift my heart to you with gratitude and anticipation. Thank you for the gift of this day and the opportunities it brings. Each dawn reminds me of your faithfulness and the fresh mercies you provide.
Lord, I seek your guidance as I step into the hours ahead. Please direct my steps so I may walk in harmony with your will. Help me to approach every task, interaction, and challenge with a heart full of love, patience, and grace.
Grant me the wisdom to make choices that honor you and bless those around me. Let my words be kind, my actions reflect your character, and my thoughts focus on what is true, noble, pure, and praiseworthy.
I ask for your protection as I go about my day. Shield me from harm and guide me away from paths that lead astray. May your angels surround me, providing safety and security.
Father, I invite your presence to be my constant companion today. Fill me with peace that surpasses all understanding, and anchor my soul in your unfailing love. In moments of busyness, remind me to pause and connect with you, finding strength in the quiet of your presence.
As I journey through this day, I hold on to the promise from Jeremiah 29 verse 11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." May your plans and purposes unfold before me, and may I walk confidently, knowing you are with me every step of the way.
Father, I am grateful for the protection and guidance you offer, and I thank you for your promises that never fail. Your love is my refuge and strength, and I am blessed to journey through this day in your care.
To you, Father, I give all the praise, honor, and glory.
How many of you can agree that we often see God's goodness most clearly during and after a storm? It's because we don't always realize how blessed we are until we're facing challenges. We don't fully understand how good we have it until trouble comes our way. Sometimes, it takes a storm to open our eyes to the many blessings we have.
Have you ever noticed that when just one storm hits, we suddenly see how fragile and weak we are? By "storm," I mean situations where you feel helpless—like when the doctor gives you bad news, or when you've cried, prayed, and pleaded with God and your spouse to save your marriage, but it still crumbles. Or maybe your storm is a family conflict, with bitterness and unforgiveness threatening to tear you apart.
Storms can be tough, and it can feel like there's no end in sight. But my friend, I want to encourage you with Psalm 91. The Amplified Bible, verses 1 to 4, says: "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.' For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge."
