The Z80 CPU has been discontinued. July 1976 - April 15, 2024. NOP in peace.

I try to see if a brand new one works in a TRS-80, and I also try a U880 Z80 clone made in East Germany, probably in the early 90's. The new one is surely CMOS and the old ones are NMOS, but it worked anyways.

as of publication, Mouser still has a few hundred in stock, so get them before they're gone forever!
