Street Style Gobi Manchurian Recipe:
Cauliflower (small florets) - 1 Cup
Cabbage (shredded) - ½ Cup
Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Salt - ½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp
MSG - ¼ tsp
Maida - ¼ Cup
Cornflour - 3 tbsp
Water - ¼ Cup
For Tossing:
Oil - 1 tbsp
Spring Onion Whites - 2 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) - ½ tbsp
Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
Water - ½ Cup
Cornstarch - 2 tsp
Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Sauce - 3 tbsp
Tomato Ketchup - ½ Cup
Black Pepper Powder - A Pinch
Salt - ½ tsp
Onion (finely chopped) - For Garnish
Spring Onion Greens (finely chopped) - For Garnish
Cooking Instructions:
1. Wash cabbage and cauliflower in water. Strain it, drain the water off it and transfer it to a bowl.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add water and mix it well till the cauliflower is coated evenly.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry the cauliflower mixture in chunks till it becomes slightly crispy.
4. Take it off the oil and keep it on a plate with tissue paper to let the oil drain off.
5. Heat a pan with oil. Add garlic, saute it for a few seconds.
6. Add water and add the 3 sauces and mix it till it all combines evenly.
7. Add the spices and seasonings.
8. Add the fried chunks to it, toss it till it is evenly coated.
9. Transfer it to a bowl/plate. Garnish it with chopped onions and coriander leaves. Serve it hot.
