DAM SPILLWAY LEAK SEAL WATER STOP SEALBOSS POLYURETHANE FOAM GROUT
Caulking had failed -Targeted were areas where visible signs of active leaks such as efflorescence, loose or unbonded caulking, and of course active leaks. By removing the caulking, a patch was created using the Oakum Soakum technique with 1510 and a slightly higher percentage of 15x catalyst for a faster kick.
Once the patches had been cured, ports were installed and injection began following the 1, 2, 3, 45 Degree Injection Guidelines, the 13-100 AL packers were placed with a 14” staggard vertical spacing and roughly 7” on either side of the joint to avoid rebar. Water began to flow from the hole. Injection was performed with catalyzed 1510 using the P2002 pump starting from the lowest packer, working up the wall. With occasional pauses to allow for the resin to cure to help eliminate waste, the joint was successfully sealed and all active leaks were stopped.
