What's going on everybody Rob here going over how you somebody would measure the inside diameter or the outside diameter of axle shaft of a bearing of what ever you are trying to get the measurements of the outside diameter and of the inside diameter. I have a 1973 wheel horse and I had to measure the axle shaft. I had to figure out what size axle seal I needed for this axle shaft. This is a caliper meter or a caliper measurer. I always thought this was a micrometer or micrometer. I paid I believe it's like 10 or $11 for. But it is a tool in my tool chest now for the rest of my life and less the battery dies out. Now this is a cheap you want some of these get very expensive. Although it depends on how accurate of a measurement you want. I did use this one to measure my axle to purchase my axle seal and it seemed spot on the money with the measurements of the outside diameter and of the inside diameter. In this video I'm showing you as a DIYer how you would get these measurements and be pretty much spot on instead of having to purchase extra pieces of material because you cannot figure out the size of the right outside diameter or right inside diameter on whatever you are attempting to replace. I hope this video does help you and like a says you don't have to purchased a very expensive one as a hobbyist or DIYer but one of these should be in your tool chest.
Thanks for watching,
Rob here a.k.a. Trev2323
