What is psychology, and what makes it a science? What are the attitudes and tools that distinguish psychology as a science? We will talk about the scope of the discipline and its various subfields, (e.g., clinical, educational, forensic) and the difference between theoretical and applied psychology. We will talk about the major movements in the history of psychology (e.g., psychoanalysis, behaviourism).
