Paul Farmer, MD won the 2017 MacLean Prize in Clinical Ethics, and gave the MacLean Prize Lecture on November 10, 2017 at Mandel Hall at the University of Chicago. His lecture was titled "The Ebola Suspect's Dilemma."
Dr. Farmer is a medical anthropologist and physician specializing in infectious diseases. He is the Kolokotrones University Professor and chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard University, and a founding director of the global health organization Partners In Health.
