Arya flees with Saphira's egg and she encounters Durza, who killed her two elven friends. Having not enough power to fight against the shade, the elf used the remaining of her magic power to teleport the sapphire egg to Brom, but it ends up in the middle of the Spine, at the same place where Eragon was out hunting.
