Here's Why The Ford Ranger FX4 MAX is an OFF-ROAD Beast!! [Truck Review]

The 2021 Ford Ranger FX4 Max was recently launched in the Philippines on March 2021, as a smaller yet capable alternative to the Ford Ranger Raptor. This is the same pick up truck as the 2021 Ford Ranger Tremor, which was launched in the US. Since the US does not get the Ford Ranger Raptor yet, the Ranger Tremor is the next best thing. The Ranger FX4 Max has the same wheel and tire setup as the larger Ranger Raptor, and also comes with the same Fox dampers. However, the FX4 Max has a leaf spring rear suspension, which makes it more capable in towing and hauling. The smaller size of the FX4 Max also made it easier to maneuver around town and also along the rough trails. In this Filipino car review, I team up with Joo of Sojoocars and Alex of Jaywalkur as we take 2 of these Ford Ranger FX4 out on a mountain trail and a river crossing. We crossed a total of 9 rivers to go to our destination, a remote sandbar on a river bed. The FX4 Max comes with a rear locking differential, which makes it a true offroader when compared to the lower Ranger FX4 4x4 which has an open differential. The Ford ranger FX4 will compete very well against the Toyota Hilux Conquest, the Nissan Navara, The Mitsubishi Strada Athlete, even the new Isuzu DMAX. It's so good, that it can even take sales away from the Ford Ranger Wildtrak, or even the mighty Ford Ranger Raptor. Despite putting the 2021 Ford Ranger FX4max through some really tough terrain, it was able to power through without the need of a rescue rig.
