Behind me is the ULTRAVIOLET disinfection workshop, which is transformed from the original dry ice cleaning and dust removal workshop. As we can see, the floor, wall and roof are filled with ultraviolet lamp tubes. There are more than 200 tubes in the whole workshop, and many movable ULTRAVIOLET lamp racks are equipped to illuminate the interior of the carriage.
In the process of disinfection, closed operation will be adopted here. People are outside the workshop and switch is controlled by remote control. The whole process is very safe.
At present, bus companies disinfect buses once a day, disinfect key routes three times a day, and wipe the steering wheel, handrail, seat surface, seat armrest and other key parts. The introduction of the new system will not replace the traditional manual disinfection, but is a superposition and upgrade of existing measures.
The deputy general manager of Shanghai Jiushi Bus Group Bus No.4 Company, Mr. Chao Yi introduced that ultraviolet disinfection can be completed in five minutes without dead corners of the entire vehicle disinfection. Bus No.4 company will invest 200 to 300 staff to disinfect more than 1,300 vehicles every day. Traditional manual disinfection, highly corrosive disinfectant solution, difficulty in proportion allocation, and high requirements for cleaning techniques are all solved.
