At the heart of Ottoman Baroque will be the poetry of Jalaluddin Rumi, the 13th century poet and Sufi mystic. One of Rumi’s most famous poems titled This Marriage will be performed by the Brandenburg Choir as part of a newly commissioned choral work by Australian composer Joe Twist. This poem was famously performed at the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.
