This is a frames ship i built, Done in Minecraft/Tekkit using Redpower Frames
Awesome fun, adds the missing element of motion to the game.
May not be the fastest way to get around, but.... it's a ship that moves!
I admit, its not the biggest/coolest design.... But i like it. It's been my baby since i built it back in October 2012
0:00 Outside the Ship
0:31 Inside the Ship, having a poke at the Engine and Bundled Wiring
0:48 Taking in the view (and partially loaded chunks)
0:57 Taking the Captains Chair - Without the chair... Looking at the computer and code that runs the frames motors.(easy to run "Forward 150" and it moves forward 150)
1:26 External view in motion
2:19 Looking inside from the front.
2:40 Staring at the Frame Motors moving....
I have a factory fuelled by EE condensors/collectors that creates all my components for frames, and i have a hangar for people to grab freebies and get creating.
Server is run by www.on3network.co.nz, server access by whitelist only.
Server is free access, no restrictions or levels, you could join and grab a free suit of quantum armour straight away if you wanted.
FYI - I thought i narrated the video. But it turns out i didn't. Enjoy the windy noises of Matmos(maybe pretend to make some wooshing spaceship engine noises.... cos frame motors are silent)
Engine design is a SLIGHTLY tweaked version of TeamPantsMadness'sEG-Drive Mk6.4 (6-Axis Frame Motor) ([ Ссылка ])
Made by Exotria (Sailor_Donovan) and Greychapel
Awesome video and tutorial, personally i dont like wireless, because i play on public servers, so interference is inevitable, so Bundled Cable comes to the rescue.
I am not a fabulous coder, so i know my code for moving the frame motors is flawed, i had a double step in one part.... doesn't need to be there. but i never got around to fixing it, and it works well.
I've coded for both the Redpower Computer and ComputerCraft computer, Redpower has simpler code for redstone signals, but program manipulation is trickier(have to start from scratch each attempt), and Redpower frames by default can only move 1000 blocks, so the extra blocks used by the Redpower Computer wasn't worth it.(But it DOES look cooler... CC computers "Crate up" when in motion in this version)
On a stable server you can travel a decent distance without issues, i've taken this one about 4-5KM from where it was built, to a hangar, and then back to spawn
HINT - in Tekkit Classic, using the slightly older version of redpower - the ship WILL split itself if it trys to leave a loaded chunk. - Trust me.... Not fun to fix.
