Vehicle history:
Presented at the Frankfurt IAA in 1961, the BMW 3200 CS is the successor to the BMW 563 and was designed by the Turin coachbuilder Bertone. Unremarkable at the time, the Bertone Coupés are now among the rare and sought-after German 8-cylinder Coupés of the 1960s. Chassis number 76.176 was given a makeover: changes from the sheet metal dashboard to a wooden version, leather seats as standard, a fan with viscous coupling and the gearbox flanged directly to the engine are the main changes.
This vehicle was released in October 1964 and is therefore one of the last 3200 CS produced. The optional sunroof and electric windows, together with the beautifully preserved leather interior, add to the charm of this rare coupé.
