I volunteered for two weeks at the Laos Conservation Trust for Wildlife, and it was such a gratifying and humbling experience to be part of the amazing work that LCTW does for animals.

Most of the animals have been rescued from the illegal pet trade, and the mission of the organization is to rescue, rehabilitate and release animals, that are native to the country of Laos.

As a volunteer you help by preparing food, clean enclosures and prepare enrichment for the animals.

I encourage everyone to try and volunteer with wildlife, if not in Laos, then somewhere else, because so many species are on the verge of extinction, and we have to do everything we can to preserve our wildlife.
