In 2009 I started watching that Ninja Warrior show, Sasuke as well. It was the most awesome amazing radical show I had ever seen. I had to try to be in this show some how. I didn't know anything about how to do that, however when I saw a competitor named David Campbell, who was from Santa Cruz, and totally kicking ass on the tv! I was like, wait just a minute here, I live in Santa Cruz! If he can do it, than so can I.
I eventually met David, and also met his nephew, another amazing athlete and traceur, Travis Furlanic, and we became friends! I was stoked to find out that David Campbell was allowing people training for the show to come try out his back yard course that he and his friends helped build. A Ninja Warrior Training day! My dreams were coming true. I was going to pursue my goal to run the course at Venice Beach for the next try outs, which happened in 2010. I have attended multiple Ninja Warrior Training days, of which I am eternally grateful for. I have made so many friends over the years competing in ANW2, 4, and 5. In 2013 I finally made it to MT.Midoriyama in Las Vegas. I had the most amazing time ever. We all expected great things from the top dog ninjas, and the most experienced american ninja warrior veteran living legend David Campbell, I thought would for sure win it all and achieve Total Victory. Sadly this year was a fluke, and David had some sorta issue with the warped wall. He eventually made it in an amazing display of determination and will power, however his time ran out before he could complete stage 1. David was no doubt devastated, and I was in complete shock. I have personally witness David Campbell complete all four stages in his backyard super secret ninja warrior training course. I know he can do it. I will always be the biggest David Campbell fan, and I will always lose my mind when I see him run the course!
