Staying true to its name, New Riff has added their own twist to the hallowed 95-5 mashbill that was mastered by Larry Ebersold at Seagrams by replacing the 5% malted barley with 5% malted rye in order to pull more flavor out of the rye. This expression is aged an additional four years than their standard 4 year old rye whiskey. New Riff 8 Year Rye is truly a new riff on the 95-5 mashbill. But is it any good? Let's find out!
