We continue to remember a civil rights icon in the United States, John Lewis.
He died on Friday at the age of 80. In the US today Former President, Barack Obama, honoured Lewis saying he stood on the shoulders of the icon. He said that he told Lewis at his inauguration he was only there because of the sacrifices Lewis had made.
Lewis was a longstanding member of congress.
He advocated for 'good trouble' for more than 30 years while serving in the House of Representatives for his Atlanta-area district.
Lewis earned bipartisan respect with some calling him the conscience of Congress.
