This is my heavily modified (but mostly with stock parts) 2003 540iT M-Sport Touring/Wagon converted to an M5. This video shows what it sounds like outside the car when it is launched from a stop. The first section is with the cutout open, and shows 1st and 2nd gear under full throttle. Then you'll hear a 3rd gear drive-by at around 3000 RPM. Finally this sequence is repeated with the electronic cutout in the closed mode.
