He secured 612,970 votes, which accounted for 54.24% of the total votes cast. Modi defeated Ajay Rai from the Indian National Congress (INC), who received 460,457 votes (40.74%).
The victory margin for Modi was 152,513 votes, which is significantly lower than his previous margins in the 2014 and 2019 elections, where he won by margins of 371,784 and 479,505 votes respectively. The voter turnout in Varanasi for this election was approximately 56.34%.
This election result underscores Modi's continued dominance in this high-profile constituency, which has been a stronghold for him since he first contested in 2014.
