Young Hermione successfully cast a Levitation Charm in her first Charms lesson, which was very frustrating for her classmates who couldn't learn. She pointed out that Ron had mispronounced the charm, and then when she was trapped by the troll, Ron managed to cast an incredible Levitation Charm! He let the Troll's big stick float up, and then he smashed it down which hit on the Troll's head and beat it into the ground.
