Smoke from Canadian wildfires is impacting millions of people in portions of the country once again.
That’s why an Air Quality Alert has been issued across all of Northeast Ohio through the entire day Wednesday. In addition, the alert has now been expanded through Thursday for the following counties:
-Ashtabula
-Cuyahoga
-Geauga
-Lake
-Lorain
-Medina
-Portage
-Summit
That list could be expanded, but for now, the alerts in these counties are expected to expire at midnight tonight:
-Ashland
-Carroll
-Erie
-Holmes
-Huron
-Mahoning
-Richland
-Stark
-Trumbull
-Tuscarawas
-Wayne
“Everyone may experience health effects during this period and should check air quality readings at airnow.gov,” according to the alert. “Members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects and should limit outdoor activity.”
