Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi arrived at the Parliament on September 18. Parliament Special Session commenced on September 18 and it will continue till September 22.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi informed that discussions will begin in Old Parliament on Sept 18 and then MPs will move to the new Sansad Bhavan. The announcement of the Special Session came as a surprise as political parties gear up for assembly polls in five states later this year. On September 17, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hoisted the national flag at the new Parliament building.
