Neural DSP Quad Cortex Update CorOS 3.0.0 is finally here! The long awaited plug-in support has begun and it's an awesome day to be a Quad Cortex user. In addition to plug-in support, update 3.0 also gave us a few new FX that I was pretty excited to try out, so I thought it would be fun to explore them together!

These are my raw reactions / initial reactions to some of the new effects in the Quad Cortex, specifically: Circular Delay, Doubler, Transpose, Transparent Blend, and Pitch Correction. I think you're going to love these FX! Circular delay provides some really interesting stereo ping-pong like effects perfect for ambience and hypnotic picking. The doubler is supposed to give you the effect of a double tracked guitar. I'll let you be the judge of how effective it is. Transpose allows you to essentially throw your guitar into half step down tuning, whole step down tuning, half step up tuning, etc without having to re-tune your guitar. We'll see how clean the transposed sound is, and how it compares to the pitch shifter. Transparent blend allows you to mix in the dry signal of your guitar or your signal from a particular point in your signal path against your effected signal. It kind of creates those wet / dry / wet rig vibes! And pitch correction is basically a version of auto-tune. It definitely works on vocals, but I'm curious if it will work on guitar. Spoiler alert, it does work, and it is WILD!
