Singapore and Malaysia are set to resume work on the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link that will connect the two countries. Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Malaysian counterpart Muhyiddin Yassin met at the border at the Causeway in a ceremony on July 30. Malaysia said it will bear 39% of the costs, with Singapore footing the rest of the bill. Slated to start operations in end-2026, the 4-km link will ferry about 10,000 passengers per hour each way.
