Lael Wilcox is an ultra-endurance cycling legend, but at 20, she barely rode a bike. She took up cycling as a more efficient way to commute to her new job 6 km from home, and it soon became her passion.
Fast-forward to age 36, and she's won nearly everything, including the 6,800 km Trans Am race, holding the women's course record for the Tour Divide (4,418 km), and having the fastest known time for the Arizona Trail. Now, she's gearing up to break the women's world record for cycling around the globe in just 110 days, starting from Chicago on May 26th.
Lael joined Rob and Eliot to discuss her journey, what it takes to set world records, and her next big adventure. We were thrilled to have her on Just Ride and can't wait to follow her progress.
