Comes in a massive Omega box with 2 other straps, a black 20mm Nato and a black Nylon velcro strap for going over your space suit! The Omega bracelet is nice and the most usable day to day. For my 6 and ¾ inch wrist I was worried that the 42mm size would be an issue which in truth it is, especially on the metal bracelet which has protruding end links pushing the dial size way past the official lug to lug. On the Nato and the (frankly never usable) Nylon band it’s less of an issue because it conforms to the wrist immediately from the spring bars. I think a nice black leather strap would be the solution.
Great Chrono movement with 3 nice subdials and 2 good feeling pushers with excellent snapback action.
When Buzz Aldrin stepped on the lunar surface in 1969, he was wearing a Speedmaster Professional, the chronograph that has been known as the Moonwatch ever since. "…the timepiece became known as The Moonwatch, the first watch worn on the Moon
For well over half a century, the OMEGA Speedmaster has witnessed events that have tested the limits of physical endurance and human courage, including the first manned moon landing in July 1969 and every lunar mission since that time.
The watch features an asymmetrical 42 mm case in stainless steel – and is built in the classic 4th generation style that was worn by Apollo 11 astronauts during history’s first moon landing. Choose it with hesalite glass with an embossed Seahorse caseback
WE CHOOSE TO GO TO THE MOON
President John F. Kennedy’s challenge to send an astronaut to the Moon was particularly audacious considering that, when he made his famous “We choose to go to the moon” speech in Texas in 1962, only one American had been in space for a grand total of 15 minutes and 28 seconds. Of course, his objective was eventually achieved and the OMEGA Speedmaster was there for the first famous steps.
