Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the etrailer round side winder pipe-mount swivel jack. Now we mounted this jack up on our trailer and this one in particular is used for side by sides and four wheelers. So it never really gets super overloaded. So this weight capacity being 5,000 pounds of support weight, and also having a 3,000 pound lifting weight is gonna be perfect for this trailer.

Now, if this got a little bit more overloaded with some heavier things, you might step up to a slightly higher capacity but for this, is a perfect application for this trailer, now if you're using this for a popup camper or even a small tear drop, this is gonna be a great application and should be plenty of support and capacity for those. I mean, a side winder is really nice because as long as you can get to the side of your trailer, you're always gonna have a clear access. We have a little radius of about eight inches on this arm so it's a pretty small footprint to be able to crank and lower this down. Some of your top winds can kind of get in the way. And you can, you know, if you have anything stored on your coupler, it can get in the way and also you can bust your knuckles.

So the side wind I really like personally and this can actually retract down to a pretty small footprint at 15 and 5/8 inches. Now it has a 15 and a half inch travel, so once it's fully extended, you're actually gonna be able to get 31 and an eighth inch tall. So it's gonna count for a lot of different Heights. So it's gonna be great for a bunch of different styles of trailer, and it should work with just about any of them in this weight capacity. Now this swivel function of this jack is really what I like.

So in fact, I towed last night and I had to crank and crank and crank on a non-swivel jack and it raised it up enough to give you clearance but I always kind of worried that that's gonna make contact with something on the road. Well, the great part about this is is when you're ready to hit the road, you can just simply pull the pin, swivel this up and you know that you're gonna have plenty of ground clearance it's out of the way. And it looks pretty clean once it's stowed. Now as far as getting this mounted on, we have a pipe-mount already on here but the great part is, it's gonna come with one. So that way you can just weld that onto your trailer wherever you want it.

And it's going to go on nice and easy. Now, if you already have a pipe Mount on your trailer and you wanna make sure it fits, just double check yours, it should be a two inch outside diameter and that should slide over it with no problem. Now, something else I like about the swivel is if you are using the same truck and trailer combination and you kind of use the same height over and over, it saves a lot of cranking to be able to get this up and out of the way, cuz really you can see I barely have any clearance under here. I barely had to crank it up and then you can stow it. And then when you're ready to unhook the trailer, this is pretty much already there, just a couple cranks and you're pretty much gonna be able to lift it up rather than having to crank and crank and crank to drop that foot plate down. Now, when it comes to a jack, it's not necessarily an upgrade that you might think about until it stops working. And a lot of time that's gonna come down to corrosion buildup and it's gonna bind up and make it hard to crank. Well, this is gonna be nice and easy to maintain. You have a built-in zerk fitting so, a couple pumps of grease every once and again, it's gonna make it nice and lubricated to be able to move. You also have a nice black powder coat finish here which looks good against this trailer but it's also gonna prevent any rust or corrosion from building up long term. Now your metal that you have on the plate, your handle as well as the foot plate is all zinc coated. So that's gonna be nice too, that corrosion's not gonna build up inside of the tube and it's gonna keep that action of raising and lowering nice and smooth throughout the lifespan of it. Now, something else you'll see is this welded on foot plate. So this is all one piece, which is nice. You don't have to worry about having that extra pin down here and having an extra step, it's all attached and zinc coded, so again, you're gonna have nice protection.
