UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjold personnel assistants, Andrew Cordier and Alfred Katzin, arrived on Dec 27th at the Abu-Sweir Military airport, on a special mission to Colonel Nasser. They were greeted by Gen Burns, C in C UNEF and King Gordon Un liaison officer at Cairo. Gen Wheeler, who directs the clearance works on the Suez canal also came to greet the two UN envoys. Soon after their arrival, Cordier and Katzan came to Port Said to see the ships sunk into the canal.
