Continuing our #CarnaticTrio series, we share an unheard concert by Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. Srinivasa Iyer was one of the most influential names in the world of Carnatic. He was widely known and appreciated for his adherence to patanthara and his unique saravalu approach to manodharma. His long span career and his passion in teaching have been a major contributor to what Carnatic music is in today’s times. This concert was performed as a part of the Music season at the Music Academy, Madras on 22nd December 1963. The concert details are mentioned below:
