After Gandalf fought a terrible battle with a balrog of Morgoth, he died from his wounds after defeating his foe, but this wasn't the end of his time in Middle-Earth. For he was sent back as Gandalf the White to complete his misson to rally resistance against Sauron. Where did Gandalf's spirit go to after his death, and who sent him back to Middle-Earth?
