How repairs are really made... A quick fix to repair the heated bed wires of your Prusa Mini. This is true time-of-life - I needed the machine for a project, so had to repair it quickly, with the parts I had on hand.
The mini in question is Franknfurter, for those keeping track - my third Prusa Mini to be PrintShift-ed into a part-ejecting 3D Printer. It was performing a long run of contract parts, and failed when trying to preheat the bed for another print. The previous print finished without errors - the issue was degradation in the heated bed wires, to the point of total failure at certain cable positions.
Best Practice repair would be to replace ALL components - and I do have the correct connectors and crimps on order now. That said, I won't be fixing the fix until it fails again; my workarounds are just as safe as replacing all components, the issue is that mine will likely not last as long.
The channel is growing, and expanding! I am working on other belt-based printers in the background, and would like to pursue a comparison of available belt and part ejection machines. Not just a comparison/review, but a celebration of cutting edge printers. If that interests you, please consider subscribing or supporting this channel's patreon: [ Ссылка ]
