Manchester police are on the hunt for a suspect they said stabbed a woman at a home Thursday evening.
Police were called to the home on Oakland Street around 7 p.m. for a reported stabbing.
When officers got to the scene, they found a 23-year-old woman suffering from multiple stab wounds to her abdomen. The victim was awake and alert, according to police. Three other family members were also home at the time of the stabbing.
The stabbing happened in the kitchen area of the home, and police said there was no evidence of forced entry.
The woman was taken to Hartford Hospital, where she underwent surgery for her wounds. Police said she's currently in stable condition.
