Rajasthan in grip of fog and cold wave

In Rajasthan Bikaner Hanumangarh Sri Ganganagar districts are in the grip of fog and cold wave. Fatehpur in Sikar district was the coldest place in the state, where mercury was recorded at minus -1.7 degree Celcius. The minimum temperature in Churu was 00.5 degrees and Pilani 1.9 degrees.
According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, there may be further drop in the temperature. Due to this, the chill will increase along with the cold in the entire state.
Due to the effect of a western disturbance, there is a possibility of partly cloudy sky in the north-western parts of the state during the next 36 hours and light drizzle at one or two places in Ganganagar-Hanumangarh and surrounding areas today. From 31st December, there is a possibility of drop in temperature once again and increase in dense fog in the northern parts of the state.
