In a marathon meeting that lasted for nearly six hours on Monday, the State Cabinet decided to release Rs 500 crore towards relief and repair works in districts battered by rains and floods. Due to incessant rainfall in the state last week, the civic infrastructure, including roads and bridges, was wrecked. 41 lives were also lost in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Hanmakonda, Adilabad, Nirmal, Kothagudem, and other districts.
